Im looking to add this in place of an non-permitted deck.
Is this still considered a deck in the eyes of Town of Oyster Bay?


EDIT : I am referring to the steps by the sliding doors.

I believe NYS law allows for a stoup of 50 square feet. That looks like more than that. Otherwise is see no issues.

I would consider this a deck. There are code requirements for load bearing, fasteners, attachment to dwelling and/or being self-supporting, etc.

Why don’t u just ask the town instead of take someone’s advise, anyway u might need a permit if it is over night

Yes, find out from the town.
I believe in Town of Smithtown, you can't go beyond 30" on each side of the door. Other towns may have similar guidelines.
