I have a CRV and use cruise control on all my hwy trips and am averaging 26 mpg, which I think is pretty good for a mid-sized SUV. A Hummer, which used to be a status symbol, I just see someone in one and think they are a wasteful idiot. My next car will be a hybrid. Hoping there will be more hybrid selections in a few years when I buy.

My husband read the book "The Non-Energy Crisis" just passing on the info that there are other schools of thought. I might have put the first two that popped up on google but you can google it yourself and find out the other side before standing by something that just might not be true.

Why when I saw this I wasn't surprised to see Inhofe involved?? The only thing sadder is that Inhofe was the former Chairman of the Senate committee on Environment and Public Works. yes you saw that right. The former CHAIRMAN and now is the Ranking Minority member of that committee. This btw is the guy who has called the EPA the gestapo.
