While I'm not thrilled with getting a booster, I will NOT lose my job over it. So I will get it. People who decide to lose their job over it, must be financially set.

I don't think people will go for it.

Also I feel that the boosters (that stupid people are voluntarily getting) will slow the spread and the deaths from the rona for at least 6 more months.. if the cases and deaths are very low in the winter (which I suspect they will be) I don't see how they can get people convinced.

It was the alleged "variant" (and the panic from that) that caused the vaccine mandate.

But as the cases and the deaths drop off.. I can't see people putting up with it. As the last of the home workers return to work.. corporations will have no motive to push vaccination.

Most of the people I know who are vaccinated will not get the booster.

I think a yearly booster is sellable to the vaxed (I’m vaccinated) but multiple shots a year for something that isn’t killing most people? Hard sell for me.

I’m currently the Technical Lead on a modernization project in the public sector so I need to be vaxed to work on the project, but I can always switch back to the private world pretty easily. Now my company and the client would lose a person who understands their old tech, the new tech, has experience in data collection and more. I am, like most people replaceable, but how easy is it to find those replacements? Given how many interviews I’ve been doing looking to fill positions I’d say not so easy.

I know a lot of people who are fully vaccinated who do not plan to get a booster. You can only push people so far. They should make boosters available on a voluntary basis to anyone who has a compromised immune system or is a senior citizen.

I agree. Most of the people I talk to are not getting anymore jabs. Except for a few elderly family members which should get it.

The constant hand wringing continues... lol. Reading it over and over again, I wonder how many times can the same people be "fed up"... no wait, he/she has "had it" again?!... what a shocker! I guess they must really mean it this time... only to post about it again tomorrow.

It's become doomporn level... and we know how much people love doompron... complain out of one side of your mouth about the MSM, the fake news... meanwhile fed a steady diet of alternate news to ramp up the paranoia... "they" are going to get us and control us... the same people who complained about all the news making everyone scared about the virus are now being scared constantly by the news... believing "people won't stand for it" and that it will stop... believing you are cannot be replaced at your job... believing that "thousands get fired AGAIN" bringing everything to a standstill... so easily swayed by what you want to believe... blind to acting exactly how you mock the other side for acting.

Well, I look forward to the next paranoia LI thread and the same handful of people being fed up... it's jumped the shark at this point and become comedic... well done.

Hard to replace your experience AND your willingness to work.

Talked with my old boss last week....my mom is in rehab after a fall - she said make sure you fill out FMLA paperwork, it protects your job. I said I was planning on it but I also said "like I'm worried about getting fired" which made her laugh. I would have to blatantly steal from the company to get fired at this point.

And you are the one who’s “above it all” and smarter than everyone else blah blah blah. Gotcha. You’ve said it a million times already. We get it.

You would think but Brandon is sticking to his dream of getting everyone vaccinated, which is different than fighting the Rona.

This is my fifth time working with a sausage factory, and it’s always interesting.
