The Hamlet of Hewlett is one of the upscale "5 Towns" (none of which are towns) that includes the Village of Lawrence, the Village of Cedarhurst, the Hamlet of Inwood and the Hamlet of Woodmere. The "5 Towns" has a large Jewish population, many of whom are Torah Observant Jews, unlike their secular brethren who reside in the Hamlet of Oceanside.
For those who may not be familiar with Hewlett:

Hewlett is one of those many villages and hamlets were the majority of the places with the community name in their mailing address are not in the hamlet: places that have a "Hewlett, NY 11557" mailing address that are not in the Hamlet of Hewlett are in the Village of Valley Stream, the Village of Hewlett Harbor, the Village of Hewlett Bay Park and the Village of Hewlett Neck; and, at the same time, there are places in the Hamlet of Hewlett that have a "Lynbrook, NY 11563" and "East Rockaway, NY 11518" mailing address.
