Somewhat true. The pro-vax, pro-mask-side has also been passing along their own alternative facts. You can find pre-Covid studies by searching NIH’s websites that shoot holes in why ICU fill up, the problem with how data is collected (I have some first hand knowledge of this issue myself), effectiveness of masks and more.
Here is a fact that is not alternative, the vast majority of people on both sides don’t have facts, they have beliefs.
Do vaccines cause harm? We actually don’t know. And it’s likely we won’t know for awhile as more data is sorted through (the downside of an incredibly large cohort).

And of course we have misinformation coming from The One. No matter why he did it he removed himself from being a reliable source for the public, and moved into being a manipulator.

I’m being lazy using a link.

So Pfizer-BioNTech does not reduce severe symptoms?

To be clear:

That of course, is a separate issue from vaccines and the SPREAD of Covid.

And, of course, the vast majority of Americans were/are not at risk of severe symptoms of Covid.

(Keeping BOTH those truisms in mind it is fairly easy to see why some folks weren’t too keen on taking the vax/booster and the institution of a vax mandates). The media stoked a false blame-game and some folks fell for it.

———-FWIW I haven’t heard much pushback regarding the fact that vulnerable folks who are fully/vaxxed and boostered don’t tend to die of Covid. One really has to search to find arguments about this.

Majority of Americans at any given moment do not need a doctor's appointment or do not need to be hospitalized for any illness. What harm could possibly happen if many hospitals and clinics were to stop taking new patients?

Those who cast their lot with wrongdoers have only themselves to blame.

It would seem that they do, I believe (belief isn’t fact) it does, but it’s still being studied. Even before the vaccine was released treatments had improved a lot, and many of those most at risk died from Covid, so it’s not yet 100% positive. There’s still a lot of studies going on for all of this (we’re still early in the game) and we will find out what was most effective.

The other problem we have is Pfizer has lied before and been sued by the Feds. There is also a lot of money riding on positive outcomes.
