Sooo in my quest to uproot my husband from his beloved, deeply rooted Ozone Park neighborhood so that our children can grow up in a more affluent neighborhood with "better" schools, he has suddenly started questioning whether our kids will really get a better education in our top choices for places to move - Garden City, Manhasset or Scarsdale.

Our kids are in the public school Astre Program where they are being challenged and learning well in math and reading/writing. At least from what I can find online, our son seems to be getting in 4th grade, some of the same math curriculum that Scarsdale does not teach until 5th grade.

If you have any experience with both NYC Astre and LI or Westchester schools, please tell me how you find them to be an improvement over Astre.

Thanks!
Teresa
