Reading reviews about people in Fairfield Properties witnessing police kicking in doors and reading other stats saying it is a dangerous place. Anybody know if that's true?

Again, certainly not the worst area, but a brutal commute into NYC. IF this is for a rental, check the BBB report as FP is not known to be a great landlord.

What’s the budget ?

No basement apartments ? Or buying a townhouse in farmingdale right next to the train?

Most Fairfield properties are "nice", but section 8 brings in criminals, losers, drug dealers. I've worked in most in Suffolk county. Dangerous? Not really, but I would definitely not live there.

I’d pass.
Definitely not the worst place.
But it is on the “worst” list.

I wouldn’t have gone near it even 20 years ago. Bad area, especially by Walmart. Don’t know how it is these days but I would suspect not much better.
