And if you paid some attention you'd see sheena's post was completely out of touch with the topic of the thread. Levittown attracting "the white crowd" has nothing to do with why the homes are cheaper.
Well my take...back in the day(17 years ago) when I was house hunting I looked at a few homes in Levittown. I didn't think the quality of home was up to par as other areas of the Island. Plus the looks my wife was getting wasn't helping the cause....so as it fit our budget at the time it wouldn't have been a good move for us when all things were considered.

Now we're talking - the house quality is lacking, there's no basement and the taxes are ridiculous.

Maybe she did but your wife's sensitivities don't have much to do with home values. The other 3 pieces do.

According to UrbanDictionary.com, Levittown is "the Holy Grail of white trash and adolescent dreams".

I agree ABACAB. It's typical racism against white people that gets overlooked by everyone. We can blame people like Sheena for all of Levittown's problems now (if any exist).

Curious too, where does C-D pull their data from?

Just for reference -- I'm a little annoyed with the constant 'Division Bad', 'MacArthur Good' bull. The area is about the same. There may be some kind of pretension with the South Levittowners for some reason, but if I was going to be pretentious, I think I would have chosen to live in another town entirely. I grew up in a Levitt house in Hicksville, and now own a Levitt house in the ummmh, Division area section. My parents are educated, white collar as am I. My children are going to college as did I. My mom's friends' children all did well too lots of professionals, doctors and lawyers among them (all Division HS graduates). It's a nice area, and if you are worried about how your kids will turn out, look at yourself, not at 11756 or 11783. By the way, I've read all the actual stats on GoodSchools.com and while MacArthur has a very good rating, Division is no slouch and certainly nothing to be embarrassed about. And for the record, the middle school in North Levittown is now considered even better than the one in South Levittown (interesting isn't that?) And Island Trees' ratings are even lower.
