Weil-Mclean model #?
Yes they will fit in that area. Look at Weil McLain gold series boilers.

Do a indirect fired hot water storage tank instead of a hot water heater. Google "Superstor". Its a much better option for you.

Since housing is still in a slump, this may be a good time to start your project.

thanks a lot. I'll definately check them out for an estimate.

some levittown homes are cheaper however, the taxes are out of this world. the water bill is expensive as well. also there aren't basements in levittown. the levitts are cute little houses and lots of people have remodeled and expanded upon their's. there is also a lot of kids in levittown and two high schools. division and mac arthur. division is huge and mac arthur is as well. i believe mac arthur is better. there are many elementary schools and two middle schools. there is north levittown and south levittown. north levittown is north of hempstead turnpike, and is nice as well kids go to division. south kids go to mac arthur. however. some kids that live in wantagh also go to mac arthur.

they are right about island trees. i've heard it's nice there, i don't like it up north of hempstead turnpike kind of in bethpage, but south near target is kind of nice and the school district is good.

i'd look in east meadow if it's affordable. it's nice.

I think certain things depend on where in Levittown you live. I am in the Island Trees section and my water bill is at most only $17.00 every few months (that includes plenty of watering for the grass/shrubs). It is very cheap...possibly the cheapest on LI. I believe there is a section of Levittown that had very expensive water...not sure where. I think it is under a different water district. Also my taxes aren't too bad when compared with other areas. We have great litle parks in the cul-de-sacs and your taxes give you free use of the numerous public pools in Levittown. The only drawback that I see to living here is no basement...but then other areas don't have basements as well. My parents live in Malverne and there are no basements in their section due to high water levels. Otherwise Levittown it is a great family friendly area.

I was just about to say, my water bill is normally $17 and I live in levittown in the salk/macarthur schools. During the summer due to my inground sprinklers, my water bill is around $60.

We have an attached garage that was added on by the original owner and our kitchen was extended into the breezeway.

We bought in 2005, in the middle of the bubble. We have a 3 bedroom, 1 bath cape. It was 4 bedrooms but we knocked the wall out and made a forma dining room.

The house is cozy...but we are only two people. Our block is excellent. Thee neighbors are so nice. We got really lucky buying on this block.

Our area is extremely safe. I love it here. I don't understand how people can say things about our town, especially when they don't live here and they know nothing about how the people are that do live here. The people I find that say anything negative are usually people that have heard from other people or knew of people that grew up here in the 80's. My brother in law grew up in levittown, and he used to tell me stories about the kids he grew up with but that didnt make a bad impression on the town. Any town can have bad people living there. I havent found any of these bad people in my area. I dont care what the people that talk about levittown think, because I know they wont be moving in to levittown and that makes me happy.

I feel the same way. It is such a nice, friendly, and safe area. My husband and I are so glad we bought in Levittown 3 years ago. From talking to people, it did have bad rap in the 1980's. Whether that was deserved or not, I wouldn't know...I was under 9 years old. All I know is the area is great now with wonderful schools. It's a shame that people still stereotype an area based on info over 20 years ago. I think it's time for people to get with the times. As long as we are happy, right?

Larsen Home Improvements been around I think since 1961. They are running a dormer package deal for Levitt houses. I'd check them out. They weren't the cheapest Contractor I interviewed but they seemed the most professional and didn't bash any other contractors.

It's nice, pretty much all of Levittown is the same. That section is frequently referred to as one of the less desirable ones, and I've specifically heard people say that the area around Division Avenue HS isn't too hot but I don't see it myself. It might be that the stretch of Hempstead Turnpike fronting it is still stuck in 1980s L-Town white trash mode, but if you drive back into the neighborhoods you'll see it looks just like anywhere else south of the turnpike. Schools are good and have improved considerably over the years. If you live in that section it'd be either Northside or Summit Lane for elementary, Wisdom Lane for middle school and Division Avenue HS. This is one of the oldest parts of Levittown, so the homes are primarily the smaller cape style although nearly every one of them has been expanded considerably. A few blocks right near Wantagh Parkway are non-Levitt homes that predate the other developments and have massive properties....for Levittown, that is.

Levittown homes are tiny. Also, the property taxes are high (no business there). We opted for East Meadow instead. Got more for our money.
