Noise? I guess you never lived in the city? Leave blowers going off 24/7 here would be a dream come true!
Immobile or elderly? Nah, $35 per week for a lawn cut & leafs blown = PRICELESS! Especially since the garbage men don’t take leaf’s! Not ruining my car to go to the dump!

The problem is the landscapers who come in with a crew of 3-4. I don't have landscapers: I do my own lawn work. And yes, I do have a gas powered leaf blower that is an absolute life saver for cleanup throughout the year. It's not only fall that creates a mess: I live in an area with a wide variety of big trees who pollinate at different months. Using a leaf blower, I can clean this up in 5-10 minutes during the summer. By hand if would take me an hour or more.
Now I also do have a battery powered leaf blower that I use for smaller tasks, but you can't compare this with a gas powered leaf blower. It's not even close.
So I guess I am one of those people who disgust you?
Not unqualified but physically not able to do our lawn. Husband had bad back issues and I have bad knees. Same goes for Snow removal I'd rather pay someone else to remove it.
