I'm actually fine with it. I hope Brandon escalates things with Russia and China, the rest of the world is taking note and realizing that we are a failed country that only serves to bully everyone else into submission using its giant bloated military. Yes, it's never going to be affordable when you have millions of people pouring into the country on a constant basis. You can't build fast enough for that; there isn't enough land, there isn't enough money, there aren't enough supplies. My heart breaks for the poor of the world (it doesn't really, but whatever, you libs love to hear stuff like that) but it's not our responsibility to help them. ~800,000 prosperous New Yorkers fled this state for Florida alone in just the last few years. Their replacements are more broke immigrants who have their hands out.
This is beyond the scope of the argument at hand. We have a "housing shortage" in NYC because we have a rapidly growing poor immigrant population, same as we did in 1900. As was true then, the solution was not to build apartment buildings on every spare acre of land across the country, but to cut off the flow of immigrants.

Actually, I should say too many corporations and billionaires are making money off the ever increasing population, the middle class in contrast are the ones who have to deal with the rising costs of housing, schools, hospitals, traffic and taxes to pay for it.

Seems like Hochul is throwing in the towel on forcing multi-family housing in suburbs, but there is still tons of liberal progressive democrat wish list items that may make it into budget. Things like housing vouchers for illegal immigrants.
