Is it illegal for people to live, in what is, for all intents and purposes, a purely, a business at a business location...actually, located between a bar and a pizza shop ?

I am also assuming, that these laws and regulations, vary, from county to Town, etc....just needing some direction where to look.

Thanks !

If the building is zoned commercial, it cannot be used as a residence. I would check with the town zoning and/or building departments.

What if your neighbor rented for a couple of years with an illegal apt. Can you still call the town on them even if they don't have any tenants anymore?

Why would you want to do that?

Wouldn't it be easier to start a new thread then revive this antique?
