Hi...

I just found out that the house I am buying needs to bring up the electrical and carpentry (?) up to code. I'm trying to get some names and places where the seller can call to set up an appointment.

I would like someone that is reliable, quick to respond, and reasonably priced.

Thanks!

Located in Merrick.

But I am not sure exactly needs to be done. I was called by the seller who was called by LI Expediters. They refused to be specific with her on the phone.

So I am looking for someone as soon as possible.

I believe Kbinspections means a "direct message" which you can send by logging in, bring your mouse arrow up to the member's username and left click....a dropdown menu will appear...drop down and click on "send a direct message"......

Check out the Better Business Bureau's listing of electricians and contractors good chance that the bad ones are not listed with them and it shows you any complaints that the company had in the last 12 months. I have had my share of shotty contractors and inspectors. Make sure the inspector has no relationship with the BANK or HOMEOWNER. - or reality company. Hire a electrician to do a walk through of the premises will save you $$$$ down the road if the home is not to code. Check town records to see if there was a fire and any building permits issued for that home. Check with the Property TAX office to get the real tax amount you have to pay owners down grade property taxes to sell there house. Check the inspectors recent jobs and ask to see referrals or speak with that home owner to see that inspector did his job right.

I use MR sparky from Deer park LI also rated by the BBB new York very professional, always on time, insured and licensed. They use the latest technology and parts. You pay a little more but I sleep well at night knowing that I am not getting a fire from shotty work.
