We have over 20 windows that need replacing. Got a few quotes ranging between $10K - $20K !! Anyone know of any good companies/brands out there I should be looking at?? Anyone know the going rate for installation?? We have a brick colonial with original single pane windows with chains & weights.

Also, one guy tried to talk us into triple pane windows (the $20K price). Is this just overkill, or would that really make a difference??

Thanks

I've looked into them, but I'd still need someone to install them. Too big a job for me and my minimal home improvement skills.

We had two bay windows, six large bedroom windows, 12 basement windows installed by Royal Windows in Brentwood last year. Cost was $5500 installed. Two months later a crack appeared in one of the bedroom windows, called them and they came and replaced FOC. They have a lifetime warranty.

Beleive the salesperson was named Caser....

I never have, and based on the results of some of my other attempts at home improvement, I think I'd prefer to leave this one up to the professionals!!
