You're so right Rizz!! It was Chris Richards...my mom knew his mom...LOL! I wasn't on Alex's side...I sat right on the front of the stage and just watched Chuck Billy as he towered over me.....he is normally a big dude but he looked a hundred feet tall from my view. I also had my head smashed when Green Jello performed Three Little Pigs....they had these chicks holding pig puppets and we all clocked heads...knocked me for a loop. I also remember seeing Testament at the Roxy a couple of years later but Alex wasn't there.

The best part of Beefsteak Charlies was the salad bar and the all-you-can-eat shrimp.

I can't think of any place now that offers all you can eat chilled shrimp


BF...still wish somebody else remembered "Reds"!

Default missing Long Island

I'm from Long Island and moved here to North Carolina back in '97. I miss all the food and the fun that was always just around the corner!!! we just got our first Carvel store about 6 months ago!! wish we could get a friendlys!!!

I met Billy Joel when he was still with the Hassels in the late 60s and playing at the Night Owl in the Village where I used to waitress part time.

He's had quite of life! Thats pretty cool you met him in his heyday!! I heard him sing recently and you can tell he's getting old! Though youd never know it from his current wife!
