As you know Long Island contains a fair amount of wealthy residents. Especially on the north shore. (Oyster Bay Cove, Mill Neck, Old Brookville, etc) I recently saw a couple of estate homes for sale and was wondering, where are the wealthy deciding to go? Are you downsizing and staying put or are you going to another area? Some of the estates look like they have been occupied by the same family for a some time.

A stupid question. Long Island's wealthy folks are not going anywhere. They can afford to live on LI
You also have to define by what you mean by wealthy. We have a bunch that looked good on paper that are now worth little and then those who have cash and other assets in the plus column. I noticed that the "rich" neighborhood has sprouted "for sale" signs like mushrooms after a rain storm.
If things are so bad for the wealthy, can you imagine what it's like for the poor? Oh nos my 401k!
