What does it mean, then ?

We can keep the concealed hand gun at home, or do we leave it in the car, and we just bring a blade, along, on the family Sunday "walks" ?

Seriously, it's statements like these that reveal the extent of which, we "deal" with Crime in our locality. "Rating it" like we would restaurant food and service.

What we should be doing is "coming down" on it, in various ways. We are too anesthetized to certain things, that we should not tolerate.

This part of town is one of them...this is where The Slow Slide to Wyandanch-like areas begins.

Modes of transportation are a traditional conveyance of the Criminal Element, as are highways, and super highways, included, when you are looking at the patterns of how Crime "spreads".

For example, Rt. 81 has been named as the SOURCE of how Crime has spread WAY upstate, into large cities, like Syracuse.

The USPS uses the LIRR to divide the PJ & PJS Post Offices.

Check Google maps...youll see the little jog that Im talking about.
The reason I bring it up is that theres a pretty big misconception that PJRR is in PJSta.

The rails, like the subways in the City, are used to convey, some of the criminal element, to these areas, on a daily basis...it's like going to a job for them, only they don't have to pay taxes.

You don't think that ALL of the people going to Tanger Deer Park or Broadway Mall and IKEA, are going there for the TRADITIONAL shopping do you ?

They know the train schedules by heart and literally "time" their crime to the trains back to whatever hole they live in, outside of the immediate area.

The Crown Jewel for the Drifter Bums is Hope House, by the rail.

I mean, here they can hang out, layabout and get stoned, beg all day, and make the meals and bed down for the night, at Chez Hope House !

If you have money, in Port Jefferson you go to Danfords...if you don't have money, it's Chez Hope House !

A special entertainment sidebar, for the Summer months, are actual concerts at BA DA BING, where the WHOLE rail, parking lot is taken over by customers' cars, and the cheesy clientel hang out in the parking lot DOING WHATEVER !

It kind of all fits into the ambiance there !
