Yes , that is quite an exaggeration. Some graffiti here and some potholes there , do not a war zone make.

The amount of unsavory characters wandering the PJ streets is really at an all time high though.

Its awful.

Its gottta be the "unsavory character" capitol of Brookhaven now.
If you need a recession buster idea for the family go catch the free Midnite freak show at Pathmark.

Now before you blame it all on Father Frank, you really have some serious active slumlording to thank up by the rail.
Im sure theres a few Village trustees making some large coin on the slums of PJ Sta.

Theres money in poverty folks...and theres money in PJ Village.
Its poverty by design.

It's true that area has looked pretty shabby for a few years now, even the main shopping area down port has gone downhill...seems to have started about the time they did away with free parking. I live nearby...I am not going to ride a couple of miles to pay to park and walk around like I used to. Just stupid IMHO.

?? The only thing that makes the town go downhill is when 10 overgrown children roll in on their big noisemakers looking for attention. Put a cop with a decibel meter downtown and ticket these dopes, and you might actually be able to sit outside and eat something without having your hearing ruined.
