The gateway drug, of Earmarks, shows no mercy, to MOST politicians.

But there are politicians who chose NOT to participate, in this time of our...Nah-tional Emergency.

To show his sincereity on this, THE PRESIDENT HIMSELF REMOVED HIS NAME, FROM HIS OWN EARMARK-LADDEN BUDGET BILL !

Tons of money for the LIRR's East Side Access, the Glen Cove<->Manhattan ferry/waterfront revitalization and the rest goes to local colleges. I loathe Peter King but this is a big winner for me, these are all worthy projects that I'd love to see done.

What is the difference between and earmark and and a viable and important project that the government should fund? Are trillions of dollars towards blowing up Iraq an "earmark" aimed at defense contractors and Haliburton?

Let me tell you something.

Your points MAY....MAY be valid.

But that was only FOUR WEEKS AGO. Think about it.

Does it seem that long ago ?

A LOT of lives have been changed in that time.

Tell me, the way events have been manipulated, it might as well have been a Century.
