Hi

I am coming for a holiday in 3 weeks time, staying in a Hotel in Brentwood, Long Island.

Can someone please tell me the quickest and most convienient way to get into Manhattan. And How long would it take.

Also if you could suggest some great bars/clubs around the Brentwood area. I like Rnb/dance music.

Thanks in advance.

Train from Brentwood LIRR station. Maybe 70 minutes? See MTA Long Island Rail Road for schedules.

Brentwood isn't the safest area, so be careful.

I wouldn't go to any clubs in Brentwood...... definitely a seedy, drug infested area.

Why are you staying in Brentwood? Ick. And what hotel??

I agree with the above opinions. LIRR from Brentwood should get you to Penn station (34th st) Manhattan in about an hour and change.

I would be careful about the hotels in Brentwood. And the Brentwood train station is a scary thing to behold.

While I don't know of any clubs in Brentwood (and most other places ), I must say not all of Brentwood is seedy or drug infested. Some areas are quite nice and homeowners take pride in and care of their properties!

*Some* areas of Brentwood are nice --- however, the OP is staying in a hotel there and looking to take the LIRR, which are NOT nice areas and are very seedy, crime/drug infested. I don't know which hotel and wish the OP would come back and let us know.

It's kind of in a deserted area (the hotel you mean) and nowhere near any train station.

The hotel is on Crooked Hill Rd, South of the LIE, near Suffolk Community College. And yes, the mailing address is Brentwood.
