Part-Time daycare near Baldwin for 1 year old? (Oceanside, East Rockaway: licensed, activities) - Long Island - New York (NY) - City-Data Forum

Can anyone recommend a p/t daycare for my 1 year old? We're in Baldwin - anything within 15 minutes would be great! TIA!

Depending on what you mean by part time, these may or may not be appropriate:
there are two Tutor Times nearby (Baldwin and East Rockaway) and the Jewish Community Center in Oceanside.

I know 2 people who are not too happy with Tutor Time, so I'm not going to look there. We're looking into the JCC now. We would really like 2 full days/week, not sure if JCC does this.

Which one? I have two kids in the East Rockaway Tutor Time and I'm very happy with them. In fact, we've recommend them to several of our friends - all of whom are happy so far as well.

The one in Baldwin - 2 separate people told me that they were just OK with it, not all that happy. Neither elaborated (just people I spoke with on the train, so I didn't ask). One said that it had gotten better recently, but they were both looking for an alternative. I never heard anything about the E Rockaway one.

My name is Valerie Noel. I have a Group Family Daycare that I operate in my home. I am licensed by the NYS Children and Family Services. I am also a teacher with a master's degree in Education. I moved from Texas three years ago and I am having fun making children happy!
The daycare operates from 7am to 6pm. Our daily activities include but are not limited to crafts, reading, writing, walks, field trips and more.
