What do families do if both parents are working full time. Would day care centers pick the child up at the school and transport them to their location and watch them until 5 when one parent is able to pick them up?

We saw a house in Kings Park that we like, but were told in the past that King's Park has 1/2 day kindergarten. Does anyone know if that plans on changing in the next few years?

If you are willing to pay, anything can be done.

I'd check with the school district, they can probably point you in the direction of some options for you. A lot of school districts have after-care, not sure if they do it for half day. And what if your child is in the afternoon session?

What people did in my town before we went to full day kindy was to send their child to parochial school for the kindergarten year, most of them have full day kindy.

A lot of people get a babysitter for the half day. The bus would take to and from school and your child could be watched in your home.

My family and I are moving to Cenetrport this summer. I have a rising Kindergardener and a rising first grader. My husband and I both work and need to leave the house by 7AM the latest. I understand that Kindergarten is half day and will need care for my boys before, during and after school with transportation. Any suggestions would be VERY helpful!
Thankx in advance!
