I guess 19% wont look as bad after the sticker shock of 26% is over.
Its the old peel em off the ceiling used car sales trick.
SWR is DOOMED.
I anticipate a Middle Class exodus to MP/RP and Longwood.

That's a crazy increase, but weren't their taxes kept artificially low because of the power plant for years?
House are not cheap out there..yet. Big time jump from Rock Point/Sound Beach to S/WR in prices.

Yes ...and the bill is due.
Shoreham Village is insanely expensive
(and I bet they are not paying their fair share)
East Shoreham and Wading River have plenty of Middle Class families struggling to get by (9-12k a year for a starter es loco)

Next year will be interesting. No stimulus money to help out, worse state budget, etc.
Enjoy the small increases this year. Next year you'll be grabbing your ankles, LOL

Unbelievable...the people of LI are really sheep. Once again they fall for the "do it for the children" line.

I voted yes and it was for the children (and the hardworking teachers who educate them too!)
Thanks Long Island teachers- you get alot of criticism and not much praise.
