Hello. I'm looking for a one bedroom apartment in the Mineola area for $1400 or less. I know about the fairhaven apartments and I'm not interested due to all the bad reviews. Has anyone heard about richlee gardens? Any other apartment buildings in Mineola within the $1400 price range?

So sorry my memory is failing me! I'm looking at a map, I think the listing was between Willis Avenue and the LIRR tracks-- between 2nd and maybe Jackson or Jefferson? Definitely in that vicinity-- I don't recall it being along Roslyn Road, but I could be wrong.
Oh yea I saw that one. Yea it's higher than my price range. I will see if management have something else available for my price. Thanks for ur help. Other suggestions are always welcomed.
Have you looked into renting an apartment in a house? I know that it comes with a completely different set of issues than renting through a management complex. But, given the lack of apartment complexes on LI it may be worth a shot. A quick search on MLSLI lists 5 apartments in Mineola and 1 in Williston Park at 1400 or below, so if you are open to that route some of those may be an option? There is also the Archstone properties in Westbury. I have no idea what the rental range is though.

Archstone is sorely overpriced. They're trying to match Manhattan rents with Long Island living. Strange mix

Yikes, that sounds like a prescription for disaster. You would think that with their history of toxic mold issues (which I understand have now been taken care of after great expense to the company) they would be trying to get people in there.
