Actually it's not bad, Arty is funny and not having to hear bleeping and stuff and can't talk about that here is nice.
The Bubba show on the howard channels in the afternoon is good to.
Then there is other shows that are hysterical, and the sports show with Scott Ferral... then the mental patient riley martin... lmfao he's shot
Loosen up. The WFAN morning show is hilarious. The disparity between Craig and Boomer is great.
I love how anytime someone says they don't like a dirtbag like Carton, it's because they are stiffs or tight ***es. Carton preaches to the lowest common denominator, and in all fairness to him, no one ever lost money on the radio doing just that. I've never gotten the "do you know more sports than a hot co-ed" type stuff. I'm LISTENING to the RADIO, guys. Having hot chicks on the radio doesn't make sense. And again, that's right out of the Stern playbook. Boomer is just a straight man, Carton has done this exact same show on other stations before.
fm radio hasnt been the same since stern left. opie and anthony are good also but theyre off of fm, too. sad. whoopie sucked at ktu and it was a complete waste in getting her as it was a waster for k-rock in getting david lee roth.
I occasionally listen to Craig Carton and Boomer. Craig Carton is not nearly as tasteless as Howard Stern. He does not spend the entire show talking about sex either. The times I have listened and Carton starts to get a little carried away Boomer has toned him down quickly.
For the most part Howard Stern's show was based on sex. I never turned his show on myself but I have worked with people who used to listen to him a lot so I would hear it while they were listening to him. I always found him to be crude, crass and just plain not funny.

Dude...you just never understood Stern then...the lowest common denominator type think his show and career is all about sex...its all about honesty (and some boobs). Howard Stern is the best interviewer I have ever heard, hands down. Better than Charlie Rose, Carson, Barbara Walters (bleech).
To the OP get satellite, and alternate with podcasts and music downloads. FM radio died in the late 80's. Horrible now...

I agree... Craig Cartoon is flat out terrible. He's not funny at all, he's just plain old vulgar. I love listening to WFAN and to Boomer, but I cannot stand Cartoon and that is making me want to listen to ESPN radio, as bad as that is.

I don't find him that vulgar, I just find the straight up Stern wannabe imitation to be tired (do you know more sports than a hot co-ed..yawn), and the belittling of callers, especially when he shuts off the mic and makes fun of them while they continue to talk..that makes me want to poke him in the eyes. Al Dukes is actually way funnier than Cartin/on/oon whatever his name is.

I also cannot stand how high and low Cartoon (it's not the correct spelling but the guy is a joke) gets when discussing sports. If the Mets win, they will be in the World Series. If they lose, they stink and the team should be dismantled. I'm a Yankees fan but would root for the Mets until Cartoon came around - now I root against them because of that fool.

I have heard him do interviews with people where he kept it clean and it was funny and entertaining. I always thought that if he did more of the clean stuff it would be a good show.
