It's a sport now for kids. I'm not sure of the exact street lingo they use for it, but they run and charge headfirst into the fence and try to bust through it.
Houligans.

Yes, installer and quality of product are a huge factor in PVC.
Every hack and their brother "install pvc fence at a fraction of the normal cost"...
Yup.

Doesn't look so great if neglected.
Very prone to moss/mildew etc, especially North facing sides.
Mostly white, it looks hideous once it gets dirty and grimey.
It is 100% not "maintenance free".
The only chore you get off the hook on is painting it.
Yes, it does warp. Yes, the panels do separate for various reasons.
Does not like heavy wind.
Kids love to run through it, and, tag it up with graffitti.
Can be quite blinding in extreme sunlight, certain yards obviously.
I agree. I have PVC in the front and wood in the back. Not only does the wood look nicer, the PVC does get moss on the north side and it also stains very easy. I would go with a good hardwood fence. It will last a long tme and they look so much nicer.

Nothing like a natural material that weathers and ages the way it should.

This was a great fence, until my neighbor being an idiot one day, thinking it's funny to tease the dogs, now the dogs know and if there provoked well it's the same as leaving the gate open.
If my dogs should bark as people walk by... and they gotta be the stupid people walking by and tease them, great fence when seconds after teasing the dogs there cornered and whinning....then i gotta go and stop them and fix my fence because of some jackass that thinks teasing a dog behind a fence is smart... i tell them do it again im not coming out next time.

I never had that issue with chain link..
Forget the stupid kids with there game of running thru it...though i would love to see there faces as they crashed thru.... lol

I also bought the better pvc with the inner steel rail in the lower and upper rail ...however that does nothing for the slats.... Keeps nothing out or in... it's all looks...expensive useless looks..unless you get self tapping metal screws and screw every single slat to the lower and upper rail... then you lose the looks, not to mention all the screws

Get a regular chain link with the heavy privacy or a better wood fence, not the stockade unless you use screws on every single slat.
