Contracts pre-close aren't public record, so unless someone privy to the details discloses it to you, you won't be able to just look it up somewhere until after the sale occurs. At that point, it becomes a matter of public record.
I've seen Under Contract and Sales Pending signs used interchangeably - perhaps it just depends on the real estate agency as to which verbiage they go with?
You can find the for sale price by looking online at the real estates website, and after the house is sold, you can go to zillow.com to see what the house sold for. You can't find out an offer price and realtors won't tell you.

In contract prices are never released, because if the deal falls through for some reason, they don't want everyone to know how much the seller is willing to accept.
After it is sold, then, where can I see the sale price? And how long after it is sold?
Someone did tell me what it had sold for last time, before it fell through, and I know what it was listed for afterward.
Out of curiosity, it is a 2BR/1 Bath ranch with about the same amount of property as our next-door 3BR 1.5 Bath cape. I've seen the inside of their house (and ours, of course) and both are very well-maintained and show well. How comparable, percentage-wise(?), are their possible sale values?
As stated in the other replies, the price is only revealed when actually closed. If you are thinking of selling, it would be quite useful to look at what sold in the past 4 months. Did you know the median sales price in New York has increased for the 4 consecutive months? Did you know the first time buyer $8000 tax credit is only in effect if a buyer closes by l Nov 30th? Average closes time after the buyer says yes is 3 months. The deadline is fast approaching. If you would like a free [edit] home evaluation visit ['Edit Mod].
Mod: You can get the same information from any real estate company.
