I keep seeing signs for this, but have not been able to make out much more information other than this. I didn't find a website with additional information either.
Does anyone have more info? How much does it cost? What time? etc...
Also, if anyone has a flyer, I'd be more than happy to put some up at work and at my library.
If I don't find help here, my next thing will be to call or stop in the fire department, but I thought I'd try here first.
That sounds like fun! I haven't heard anything about it, but I know a couple people who live in and around the Ridge area, I'll shoot them an email.
What the North Shore of Long Island is missing is a good down home COUNTRY bar/club !!!! I dont' think there is any left on Long Island. Except Matty T's in Deer Park. A million miles away!
I always thought the old Avenues in Rocky Point would have been a good spot for one, or even the place on the corner of Broadway and 25A in RP. Of course, there's the empty Rexall Drug stores and the old RP Bowling Alley too....
I went last year, but can't remember any other details - like the price and such. I'd like to go again this year as I had a good time.
It's funny, because I'm told that there just aren't people on LI who listen to country - and that is why we lost our radio station. But on County 92.5, I hear a lot of LI callers and these types of country western events seem to get a lot of people.
As for a country bar, I'd even settle for a local place that had a country night and then back to their regular stuff the rest of the week.

Couldnt agree more.
It baffles me that WRCN hasnt gone Country given its abject failure.

Ditto...we'd love one too.
92.5 is awful...but it is preset on our radio because it's the only one. They wont even give prizes out to LI callers!!
There are a lot more LI'ers that like country than these stations let on. It could be that advertisers don't want to advertise on a country station? I don't know.
So will there be a CD Forum meet up at the Ridge Country Western night?
