I was dropped by all state since I do not have my cars with them. I called State Farm and they are not signing any new policies in Long Island. I have called a few brokers but all are with no name companies, I would like to go with a major company, can anyone recommend anyone please????

Are you near the water? I worked for a SF agent a few years ago - they wree only limiting people near the water - I'm surprised they would cut back completely.
Liberty Mutual is a good company. WHo do you have your cars with?

Any other recommendations? AllState is not renewing my home insurance either. Thanks.
We are looking for homeowner's right now, but both USAA (who we used on our previous house in another state) and Liberty told us they wouldn't write policies here. Grrr...
The same thing happened to me last summer. Allstate dropped me because I am near the water.
I used the internet to get quotes and wound up with a broker about a mile from my house.
I suggest you give it a try!
