Default rvc

hi, i grew up in rvc..the downtown is on sunrise highway. the higher end homes are up north..but all of rvc is beautiful! i lived in the hewett school district. the schools are excellent! i raised my children there and i am so fortunate that they also got their education there..i moved to florida when my oldest was a junior in high school and it is definatly not the same here! i always shopped in the village..it has that small town feel when you do because you get to know the people by name. they have a great senior center, a surpurb rec center for the kids and adults, the fire department is awesome as well as the police department which is village police not county because it is an incorporated village. the community has much to offer. i hope i have helped you a bit!

Quick addendum: Also Merrick road and sidestreets Village and Park Aves between Merrick and Sunrise. If you just blow through on Sunrise you will miss most of this . . .

I agree...these are the best areas, moreso than Sunrise. Rockville Centre is a great area...it was between this and Garden City when we were looking. While South Side schools are pretty good, if you can land Hewlett or Oceanside schools, that might be even better. I think it would be a great choice in most of the village regardless.
