I am a realtor. You must get in contact with an agency that you think would best represent you. You can schedule an appointment to meet with them and they will discuss with you their plan to market and sell your home. If you feel comfortable with them you can sign a contract with them for X amount of months and the amount of commission you will pay them if they sell your home. Best of luck to you.

There is another, less effective way. Send me a PM and I will tell you.

If you want to do FSBO, I think that there are companies out there that will list your house on MLS for a flat fee (at least there were in Florida when we moved out). All inquiries get referred to you, and they do not take commissions. I think that you still have to offer a commission to the buyer's broker if you want any brokers to show your house to their clients. Try a google search on 'Flat Fee MLS'

We will be trying to sell on our own first starting in January. We will give it a few months, if nothing happens, we will sign on with a realtor familiar with our area.
