Looking for a retail or wholesale furniture store on LI (pref. Suffolk County) that sells good quality furniture at a good deal! Any suggestions? Thanks!

Tiffany furniture will really try to get the price down for you if you know how to bargain. You can get anything from their catalogs. It is on RT 110 in Farmingdael.

I've found Raymour to be reliable and honest. They're not the cheapest, but they don't appear to be crooks either .

Spend a day on Rt 110 in Farmingdale, there are at least 20 furniture stores within a 2 mile strech of 110 north of the airport. You're sure to find what you're looking for.

Don't know if I can promote a company, but after seeing a gazillion different showrooms on 110, we had a GREAT experience at Bob's Discount. Great deals, customer service, value, etc.

I got a couch @ bob's...the first time it broke one time after sitting on it...and I am not a big person, 100lbs, if that. I called up Bob's and told them what happened and they agreed, albeit reluctantly, to bring me a 2nd couch.

They send over 2 guys who are the rudest, creepiest men ever...and didn't speak a lick of english. They then proceeded to put the couch together WRONG and I tried correcting them but they weren't listening. Thankfully I know Spanish and I told them to leave I would just have my father do it.

I'm on my 2nd couch which is still intact, thanks to my father. Def. wouldn't recommend Bob's.

Yikes, sorry to hear of your bad experience!! Hopefully it was an isolated event...I guess buyer beware always. Well, when we get the stuff in, hopefully it won't break down otherwise i'll be posting against BD!

Check out "The Place" furniture store on Glen Cove Rd in Carle Place. That location is going out of business and you could find a good deal there. I've gotten several items from there. They're officially discounting 30% off their prices but yin reality you can getter bigger discounts if you bargain with them. They have beautiful furniture but just make sure that if you take the floor sample that you check thoroughly for damage.

"Ashley furniture" is another good place. They have decent things. I did like Raymor though they were a little more pricey.
