I am looking to purchase a house that will need new floors. (The carpets are destroyed). I have a couple of questions...

According the the house information, the only thing that is needed are "new rugs and fresh paint". How often is that the case?

Also, anyone know of any recommendations on where to purchase the wood floor and who to install it? I am basically looking to redo the living room, stairs and at least the master bedroom (IT is a traditional high ranch).

Any help would be great. Thus far I have only tried Lowes.

Maybe you could refinish the wood floor under the carpet, if it has them.
"new rugs and fresh paint" could mean it needs to be gutted. LOL. Did you actually see it in person yet?

I did see the unit. They do not have finished floors under the carpet. The rugs are bad, they need to be redone. I think i would want to bite the bullet and buy nice hard wood floors. I am hoping that $7500 would do the trick?

If I remember correctly it came out to about 8 or 9 dollars a square foot installed for pre-finished oak.
