Hi...was in this Target this morning, and the cashier told me that it was being remolded into a Super Target..groceries...fresh fruits..veggies, etc...I kind of thought that was strange because Stop & Shop basically shares the same parking lot......has anyone else heard of this news?

I dont know. I designed the bathrooms in there years ago and theres not enough room for the store to expand into a larger grocery store. it needs approval from the neighborhood as well and being there is a stop n shop already there, there wouldnt a need for it.

Target is so much cheaper for groceries that trust me no one will have a problem with it. And Target is giving over more and more shelf space to groceries at the store in Westbury because so many people are buying their groceries there now. At first it was just a few shelves, now it's the whole left hand side of the store. You just cannot beat their prices. They don't even need to expand to do it.

Default Done by October

One salesperson said the new produce section should be open in October. Other Targets on Long Island are also going to be adding produce, as they want to become "one stop shopping." More and more people are buying their groceries at Target and are trying to avoid having to make another trip to a grocery store.

Yup - I haven't done a "big shopping" in a supermarket in months. Only for meat and produce.
