I realize this might be a long shot but we just had a conversation with our neighbor who saw a green box truck with possibly the words Global Express or Global Freight pull up in the early morning the other day and took stuff from our yard. This morning, the sink we left out next to the house is also gone.
I'm wondering if any folks on here might know what company drives a box truck that matches the above description.

crossing fingers....
We're in Franklin Square, btw. TIA!
Welcome to 6th Borough.
Next stop Riverhead.
All kidding aside...that sucks, thanks for the heads up.
My parents had something similar. But not that company. Most likely they're going around for scrap metal which can command some good money right now. However you have to find more than what you waste in gas/time doing this. Copper is heavily wanted, which is why on some foreclosures you find that the pipes were ripped out of the house. They sold it off.
If you leave out something, the person might have assumed that it is garbage.

They were sold in march of this year. A white and green BAX truck was at my work in early august - I use them a few times a year. Maybe they still use old trucks and haven't switched over yet.
If I put it out in the garbage on the street, I don't care if someone takes something (as long as they leave the pails). However if I put it in the backyard or something like that, then I have a problem with it.
