I can't believe you even posted this....even more alarming you don't know the yellow light...

You should be more interested in why a school bus has a stop on such a road, putting kids in jeopardy...instead you are talking plate numbers of a vehicle going around you....

I just love the thought process, bus stops on corners...
Where do 99% of accidents happen......
Bus stops on highways...and other fast roadways...
You posted about a car passing....i guess the other issues are fine

School Busses shouldn't be stopping to pick kids up on corners, they should be at the middle of the block, nor should they be stopping on any highway...montauk, ocean, 112, 51, vets...ect
Why can't you blame the other car for going around him? Yeah, I'm sure that 30 seconds the darwin candidate saved made a big diff in how fast he got to work.

Where did he say this happened on a corner? Or on a highway? I agree with you about not having stops there, but it was not the point of OP's post.

Look about halfway down in the New York section where it addresses divided highways.
Indeed thebobs is right, I retract my earlier assertion! Thanks for cluing me in, I've lived in NY for 5 years and didn't realize the stricter law in effect.

Also, here's a form to fill out to report School Bus Passers: http://www.nydmv.state.ny.us/forms/ds103.pdf

I didn't know they had a NY State form for this. What action will they take?

Yeah its been like that for a long time. Not many people realize it, and they generally go over it in the defensive driving course. Of course nobody really observes that. Then again, how many kids have you seen jumping over a concrete or steel barrier to get to the bus. Usually the divided highways are 2 lanes or more (though there may be an exception but I don't know about it).
