I have to admit I never would expect a rebate from LIPA. Is this a curve ball to keep us happy while they come up with a plan to raise rates at the new year? Guess we'll see...

$70, in 2 installments. A far cry from how much they have raised rates.

Default justify high rates

They don't want to lower their rates, so their giving us a small one-time rebate. Gee, thanks so much...

I wonder what will happen to the people who are selling their homes such as myself. I don't believe I will still be in my home in November to receive one of the credits. That would stink considering I've lived there and paid all year... Hmm...interesting.

Interesting point - why don't you call customer service and ask?

Times are tough, you are not cheap!! If they are giving money back that you over paid......YOU....should recieve it, not someone else. Also its going to be about 70 dollars. Yes I know, in 2 installments.

I'm moving October 7th so I'll lose both rebates & it may seem cheap, but it's still my money.
