We live in the Ronkonkoma area. We have tiny spots on our house and windows. It almost looks like paint splatter. We have no trees, so it is not sap. I clean it off my glass front door or vinyl siding and it just comes back. My husband thinks it is from the planes that fly over. Any suggestions?

What color are the spots? Are they "clean" or "fuzzy"?
Can you take a photo and post it?

spots are brown, not fuzzy. Hard to get off. I use a razor to get them off the glass. I will try to post picture but they are dots like paint splatter

sounds like something insects leave behind...

After you've scraped them off, have you tried wiping things down with a bleach solution?

Maybe mold? We have some pretty great humidity in all seasons but the dead of winter. I also like the bugs idea. Look closely at the shape. Very round indicates a shape that probably didn't splatter on. I also like the fuzz question. I get mold in my basement. It looks like tiny round dots at first. God bless the people who invented the dehumidifier. Good luck!
