Whats a shame is the area I live in is really super nice with tons of young families and young kids playing all the time. I guess that attracted us to that area in the first place. it's a shame all the riff raff in a neighboring town can cause me to be this uneasy about buying there. guess I have to get a really sophisticated alarm system? ugh

GC is one of the most beuatiful towns on LI but its proximity to hard core gangs and crime is very unsettling.

Nassau needs to take Hempstead back.

Any sort of reviatlization/improvements in the area would be good news for GC.
Hempstead may be worse than Jamaica these days.

I imagine the folks in Jamaica Estates have similar concerns to GC.
Its more urban but the contrasts are similar.

me i guess...i mean it's not like i'm going out and putting bars on my windows and an electric fence...still a little uneasy about that stuff happenin so close. whatever though there are plenty of areas on LI which border not so spectacular areas...
