^^ If you dont have a good connection to get in forget about it. I know several people that are in but never work b/c they are missing that key contact. Its like trying to get into a teaching position or being a cop. Its who you know.

Default Laborers 1298

Also: LIUNA Laborers 1298(Highway Construction), is that any easier to get into then the carpenters union.

According to NYS Dept of Labor
Carpenters 1st Apprentice: $14.88
Journeyman:$37.21

Laborer Apprentice:$24.90
Journeyman $30.05

Is it really wise to publish your union membership number (ubc)?

Well it sure as hell not hard to be a city cop you just need to show up with a pulse and your good to go. Gang bangers, morally corrupt, and ego maniacs can all apply. With those traits alone you can rise high up in the dept.
