There are alot of people why went to an ivy league school, some got in because of legacy, some because of athletics, etc.

Not all ivy leaguers are smart, but the majority are.

Not all State School kids are dumb (the state schools in NY, specifically), but the majority are.

So someone who graduates with a 4.0 at Binghamton is dumber than someone who graduates with a 2.0 from Harvard?

SAT scores, percentage of the students in each school that came from the top 10% of their high school class, what type of employers recruit at each school, what they recruit for, what type of jobs do these kids get after graduation. There are many academic standards that go beyond school endowment.
