Can someone please tell me if any parts of West Babylon go to Wyandanch High School? Specifically, the area just south of the Southern State Parkway between Straight Path and Little East Neck...does anyone know the schools around that area? What's that area like? Thanks for your help!

A few block section of West Babylon attends Wyandanch schools, but that is north of the Southern State, north of where Little East Neck Road and Straight Path merge pretty much right along the Wyandanch border (basically a 1 or 2 blocks over a 4 block stretch) In the specific area you are talking about, just south of the Southern State between Straight Path and Little East Neck Road, it is the West Babylon School district, east of Little East Neck Road it is the North Babylon district.

This area is fine with many smaller more affordable homes. To my knowledge as a agent, all the schools are West Babylon. If you are thinking of buying or renting tax records and school reports are available to check specific schools you are interested in

alessandra1981, when you do find a house that you like, you can find out in which community (city, village or CDP) that house is actually located, which is oftentimes different from the community named in that house's mailing address, by using the Census Bureau's online address search function. (CDP or Census Designated Place is the Census Bureau equivalent for a hamlet in Nassau and Suffolk Counties.)

And, very importantly, among other things, the Census Bureau's online address search function also indicates in which school district an address is located.
