After the morning drop off at the schools and then running a few errands around town, I realized what an awful job they did. The sidestreets are horrendous.
At best, there is a narrow strip down the middle, and it has become a game of chicken navigating these streets as the the soccer mom's and businessmen just refuse to slowdown and pull to the side and let you pass.
Courtesy? what's that? Safety? bawahahahahahaha!!!

They are not launching the Space Shuttle, they are plowing roads. Worst job ever....well besides the "repaving" project.

It really never ceases to amaze me how stupid some people are with their SUV's and pickup trucks. Not only do some of these idiots not slow down, they SPEED UP as if to express how brilliant they were to get their 4 wheel drive vehicle. They will tailgait you even more aggressively in this weather.

And, without fail, every year that it snows, there is an overturned SUV on some road when I'm driving to work. 4 wheel drive does not make you invincible to ice, stupid!!

4 Wheel drive was designed for off-road driving. Sand, Mud, bumpy and uneven terrain etc...Not ice. Not snow. Not even plain old fashioned rain. It does help a little, no doubt, but it was not the original plan. What's really sick and twisted is the fact that more times than not, I see kids in the car with these looney toons.
Sales propaganda has given many people a false sense of security with these vehicles. Most of these people have no business even driving on clear and dry pavement.

Whatever. It is what it is. People are just plain old dumb and arrogant.
I just slow down and let 'em pass. I'm not getting hurt or dead because of one of these a-holes. I'm getting too old for this crap.
I'm actually getting better at blocking it out and obliviously just going about my business.

Update on the 4/all wheel drive crowd, this morning I see a WRX that has rear-ended someone. What, but Subaru's are all wheel drive, that means not only do I have better traction than you, but I CAN GO EVEN FASTER than I normally do because I'm a hot shot tough guy!!

20 something jerk standing outside his car looking incredulous. Every year it snows, the same story. 90% of the accidents seem to be 4WD.
