Can anyone recommend someone local? Ive heard geek squad has a tendency to leave holes and send amateurs occasionally. I want to get my surround sound system installed professionally and be rid of all the wires in my living room.

The Geek Squad sends amateurs OCCASSIONALLY? How about they are amateurs, plain and simple. I'm not sure how you want your system hooked up, but I used a fresh piece of base moulding so I can hide a surround-sound speaker retrofit with no exposed wires. If you're looking to wall mount your speakers, good luck regardless of who you hire.

I did it myself. It was a pain, but it looks good now. Geek squad is a joke and the professional HT guys will fleece you.

Just buy some speaker wire yourself. You can easily thread it over ceiling tiles if you have them. Otherwise run it under your molding next to the carpet. No one will ever see it.

Good luck.

Im just really bad at this sorta thing and i can see myself doing more damage than anything. hard wood floors so there's no carpet. no ceiling tiles either. and i have a dog that loves to dig this kind of stuff up. i see some companies from a google search. and i found one that was bbb accredited but i always feel like recommendations are the best way to go.
