That's a very nice area, great location. My first home was there on Grace Lane. My mom, dad and I lived with his sister and her family till I was almost a year, then we moved over by Gardiners Ave.

Hi Chris!
I was raised in Levittown and am raising my kids here. I live North of the Turnpike. Two of my 4 kids went through the levittown school system and I have nothing but good things to say about it. My two younger children are still in the system. I sell homes in Levittown as a Real Estate broker am proud to do it. I hope you enjoy the town as much as I did growing up and as much as my kids enjoy it now!!
Michael

My brother lives north of the turnpike off of Jerusalem . His son is in kindergarten now and only goes for a half of the day , my son is also in kindergarten and goes for a full day ( Deer Park ) , does anyone else know about the 1/2 day for this grade and do you feel that the kids have to play catch up if they relocate ? My son is doing the same reading and writing work as a 1st grader in Levittown Besides that i love the area but wish they would do something with the eyesore empty building on the corner of Gardiner and Hempstead Turnpike , how long has that been empty ?

Yes, Levittown is safe. I grew up in south Levittown & still visit my parents all the time. The schools on the south side (macarthur high school) are better, as is the Island Trees School District which parts of Levittown go to.
