CSH is much smaller. THe HS usually graduates right around 100 kids.
I would say CSH is probably much wealthier since it encompasses Lloyd Harbor and Lloyd Neck...with all the problems that can (can, not necessarily will) bring with it. Syosset probably has much more economic diversity.
As far as "better" I think that's a bit harder to quantify, unless you go solely by test scores and that is easy enough info to come by.
I thought when you and your fiance (both former "gifted class" students) get married and have kids you were all set on sending them to the LI School for the Gifted.
So what difference does this make at all?
PS: I really will feel sorry for your future kids if any end up with mental retardation, autism, etc.
It ends in 9th grade- so after that- I would have to figure out what to do for public schooling.. but I guess there's always more private school (St. Anthony's) if we can afford it.
There's also the possibility that my future children don't get in to the school.
I know it's a long time from now but..
If you did move.... then Syosset SD is the better of the two.... you can just relax and breathe easy now. I hope you are not second guessing yourself.
We did move to Syosset. I guess I was second-guessing a little bit. As my fiance (getting married in May) and I advance in our careers, we were thinking of moving into a larger house.
I had a feeling Syosset was better of the two but my fiance did notice that everything in CSH is so expensive and whether that meant better school district or not...so I thought I would ask.
