Whoa.... was that a give away ???
Are you and Crooks the same person by any chance ? I mean don't get me wrong, I won't really be surprised, just saying.
Don't ask me-I don't live there and therefore am not qualified to offer driving directions.
AMAZINGLY, and obviously the result of some hideous galactic coincidence, you rewrote the exact route I already wrote. Moriches MI Road changes names as it passes through each town. County Road 101 is Sill Road the entire length though.
You can be be more correct than me though 'cause I want you to be happy and all.
Men and their directions pffft!
My experience/commute was this: Rocky Point Rd heading south after 25 turns to Yaphank-Middle Island Rd
Once you get near the lake, turning right will bring you to 101
Turning left becomes Main St/East Main St, which is/becomes Moriches - Middle Island Rd.
Sorry, I had never referred to it as Moriches/MI Rd. Had I known some people did that beforehand, I would never have allowed my galaxy to bump yours.

LOL
Scottzilla made a good suggestion (yes, zilla, a compliment), and I went with it...hence peace or a new FBI thread.
RP is a fine little town. I used to work there and I grew up in SWR schools. It's too far to do a commute to NYC but otherwise I'd live there without question.
Miss the drive-in! And Rocky Point Bakery. Pickle place is still there though.
Try Tilda's(bakery)which has been there for years,it's excellent
Coincidentally, I had a Tilda's black and white (actually green) cookie today!
I just remember RP Italian bread as being heavenly. Tilda's is better for cookies and strudel. The bread is just ok though.
