Hello all,
We are moving to LI shortly and wondering if there is any Jewish Community in the aforementioned areas.
Thanks much!

I don't really know about Greenlawn-- we are Catholic but I do meet a good number of Jewish families. I know Commack has a huge Jewish Community Center. I have driven past it. There is also something on Park Ave just south of 25A. I think that is Huntington though.

There are probably still plenty of Jews in the area, though less than there were a generation ago when I grew up there. There aren't any synagogues in Greenlawn per se, but there is the East Northport Jewish Center on Elwood Road (Conservative). We belonged to Temple Beth El of Huntington (Reform) on Park Avenue, and there was also the Huntington Jewish Center (Conservative) on Park Avenue, a little further north. I'm guessing that's the shul being referred to by the first response. These three would be the closest to Greenlawn, but there are several others in the Town of Huntington.
