Retaining Wall in the Front of house in North Hempstead (property, required)

I wanted to level the front off on the property and am planning to put a 18 to 24 inch wall. Does anyone know if the town has a minimum hight before a permit is required or is it regardless of height for a permit?

If you go on the Town's website, you should be able to find the answer to your question...

It would seem that you might need a permit. If you're not sure, you can find the phone number elsewhere on the site.
