How much to get one of these installed?

is it a project that a novice could tackle?

popular mechanics on line has a very good step by step guide.

yet, i don't want to get in too deep (pun) on my own if i can't hack it.

it's not a terrible water problem, but it's some, and any is more than what i'd like.

Sump pump may not be needed. Have you looked at your gutter system, grading and trees?

grading by the area that water comes in looks pretty good too me.

Tree roots + foundation = problems
Tree leaves + gutters and down spouts = problems

Plants and trees too close to the house hold alot of water in the soil and prevents the areas from drying out.
